What Is B.Tech in Food Technology?

B.Tech (Food Technology) is a four-year, eight-semester undergraduate degree under Tribhuvan University's Institute of Science and Technology. It blends food science, chemistry, microbiology, processing, quality control, and product development — preparing graduates for Nepal's growing food, dairy, beverage, and agro-processing industries, as well as quality-assurance, R&D, food-safety, and entrepreneurship roles.

For +2 Science graduates who want a science career that is hands-on, lab-based, and directly job-linked, food technology is one of the most practical and under-rated options in Nepal.
